Just about all cruise ships have a sushi bar, but they are not all the same. For example MSC Poesia doing 7 day Caribbean cruises out of Port Everglades, has an extra-cost venue called the Kaito Sushi Bar on Deck 7. They have an extensive menu offering a really good raw food selection.

Most all cruise lines will let you get married on board their ship. You should advise the cruise line prior to sailing, so they can make the arrangements, and set up a (inside or out) location, in order to make your wedding day something you and your husband will never forget.
Only one word of caution...The captain can legally perform the ceremony on board his ship...but you need to have all the paper work required by your state of residency, or church, so he or she can sign off on the paperwork, and make it legal, after the ceremony onboard. The certificate the cruise line provides signed and witnessed by the captain and others is nice, but is it a legally bonding license of marriage? Please check it out! What can you tell us about a Galapagos Island cruise?6/16/2012 All Galapagos Cruises have been granted cruise itinerary by the Galapagos National Park. The cruise itinerary is designed to offer travelers with the best experience while minimizing the effect that tourism has on the Galapagos.
When selecting between Galapagos Cruises the most important factor to compare is the cruise itinerary. The best cruise itinerary is one that offers the broadest range of diversity. Most travelers decide on a Galapagos Cruise to see how the wildlife evolved differently between islands. A good cruise itinerary will let you see evolution in action. It is in witnessing firsthand how these animals evolved differently from each other you can observe Darwin's Theory of Evolution up close. In our opinion, on the top of any list has to be Norwegian Epic's Cirque Dreams.
We also enjoyed, Norwegian Epic, Blue Man Group combines music, comedy and multimedia theatrics in a shortened version of the off-Broadway production that started in 1991. In our opinion...the Hong Kong skyline is arguably the world’s most famous, well, apart from New York, but even the Big Apple can’t match the sheer number of skyscrapers, the most of any city in the world.
The best place for you and your "Kodak moment" is to get a snapshot of this cityscape from Victoria Peak, which towers over the city. Depends on where you want to go, and what you want to see...

Northern & Central European Russia experience the country's most varied climate; mildest areas are along the Baltic coast. Summer sunshine may be nine hours a day. Across the northern regions of Russia and along the Arctic coast summers are cool. A warm period can last from June through August or be as short as a few weeks. At Archangel, near the shores of the White Sea, the average temperature exceeds 15.5°C (60°F) only in June, July, and August. Rainfall in this region is moderate at best. Further east, at Tiksi on Siberia's northern coast, summer lasts for a few weeks in July when the average high temperature reaches 10°C (50°F). This cold, dry region receives little precipitation, most of which falls between June and September. August is the wettest month, when Tiksi gets an average of 48 mm (1.9 in) of rainfall.
Central European Russia, located at about the same latitudes as Great Britain, enjoys warm summers. Moscow and St Petersburg share similar summer temperatures, both averaging around 21°C (71°F) in July. Volgograd, further southeast along the Volga River, averages 27C (82°F) during July. The Central Russian Uplands receive over half their annual rainfall during the months from May to September. Southern European Russia's steppe lands are hot and dry during the summer months, particularly in the southeastern deserts near the Caspian Sea. The coastal city of Sochi enjoys a moderating influence from the Black Sea, but still records temperatures between 32 and 35°C (90 and 95°F) between June and August. The lowlands bordering the north and northeastern Black Sea have heavy rainfall all the year round. East of the Ural Mountains, summer in Siberia is a warm, even pleasant time of year, although it tends to be rather short and wet. Summer on the Urals lasts an average of 65-70 days with an average temperature of 20°C (68°C). In the southern Siberian city of Irkutsk, summer lasts from June to the end of August, with average daytime high temperatures ranging from 20 to 22°C (68 to 72°F). In the central Siberian city of Yakutsk however, average temperatures during the same period range from 9 to 12°C (49 to 54°F). Oddly, the highest temperatures at Irkutsk usually occur in May and June, while at Yakutsk, temperatures peak in July. The wettest months in Yakutsk come in July and August, when the area gets a sparse 76 mm (3.0 in) of rain. The climate of the Russian Far East can vary greatly from one location to the next. Many inland areas get quite hot and temperatures can climb to a scorching 40°C (104°F). Along the coastal regions however, the cold waters of the East Sea keep temperatures much cooler and wetter. The port of Magadan on the Sea of Okhotsk, has an average July temperature of 13°C (56°F). Magadan's highest recorded temperature in July was only a pleasant 23°C (75°F). In Vladivostok, much further to the southwest, August brings the highest temperatures, with an average of only 22°C (72°F). This historic seaport rarely exceeds 31°C (88°F). Vladivostok gets over half its average annual rainfall of 718 mm (28.3 in) between June and September. In our opinion, mid-ship, on the lowest deck that offers a balcony cabin or mini-suites.are the most stable cabins on the ship. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra bucks for a balcony. or mini-suite. These cabins are usually larger, and provide some extra room.
Sailing to Alaska is a once in a lifetime experience, and you don't want to miss any of the scenery. An inside or outside cabin should definately be out of the question, you will miss half of the beautiful views. Many beaches along the southeast (FL, GA, SC, MI, LA, TX) coast of the US are warm and mosquito free in the winter. Many hotels offer very attractive rates this time of year for your beach holiday.
No inclusive resorts in the Caribbean have beaches that are totally mosquito free - mosquitoes are found everywhere, but we never encountered hordes of mosquitoes on any island we've visited in our many years of traveling to the islands of the Caribbean and South America. Mosquitoes are more prevellent after periods of prolonged rains on in arears around salt ponds and other standing waters. You'll find more mosquitoes when there are little or no breezes. You'll also encounter more mosquitoes in dense foliated areas than you will near towns and near open fields. They are more active at dusk, especially along the beach where the vegetation meets the sand so if you avoid those areas at that time of day you'll lessen your chances for a "close encounter". Also, avoid using after shaves, calognes, perfumes, scented hair sprays, powders or make-up (for women) as the sweet aromas act as an attraction. You should consider using a good quality insect repellant. Many people suggest using one containing DEET.. Compagnie du Ponant Le Diamant 12 nights, Asian Pacific. Check out the website below, or your local travel agent for more info... http://www.surecruise.com/cruise_search/search.asp?through=Iloilo,+Philippines A cruise that originates and terminates in the same U.S. city is referred to as a closed-loop cruise. "U.S. citizens on closed-loop cruises will be able to enter or depart the country with a birth certificate and government-issued photo ID.
Be aware that you may still be required to present a passport to enter the countries your cruise ship is visiting. Check with your cruise line to ensure you have the appropriate documents." The question remains as to whether cruise passengers need a passport to travel to Belize or Roatan, Honduras? It is not necessary for U.S. citizens who take a closed-loop cruise to present a passport upon their return. |
