Temperatures in southern Europe, Barcelona, Lanzarote, Tenerife, Madeira, Rome and Malaga, etc. normally don't get much higher than 16 to 20 degrees Celsius (about 60 - 70 degrees Fahrenheit) and cloudy days seem to be the norm.
In northern Europe, you will see plenty of snow on the mountains- especially when you sail through the narrow Straits of Messina, between Italy and Sicely- Mount Etna, it is beautiful.
I recommend you take lots of layered clothing, and rain wear because a storm can come up in a hurry, and being mostly cloudy most of the time, they are hard to see coming.
