What's the best part of the Caribbean to cruise to--eastern, western, or southern Caribbean?

The Eastern Caribbean is more developed, but they make more ports of call in a 7 day period, because the islands are so close together, and require less cruise time

The Western Caribbean takes longer to get to its ports of call, so there are more sea days in a 7 day period. The ships usually make only 3 or 4 ports of call in this time. The most  common ports are Jamaica, Grand Cayman, Mexico, and the cruise lines private island.

Southern Caribbean is another story...these cruises are usually 10 to 14 days, but include some extoic ports of call, as far south as Grenada, some even include the Panama Canal.
