In our opinion, unless they are teenagers and able to get around the ship on their own, and do their own thing, they probably won't enjoy being on a cruise ship for a week or longer.
Really young children tend to require a lot of attention, and usually at the wrong time! By the wrong time, I mean during a show, during a meal, etc. Don't forget traveling with young children will require you to cut your evening short, and spending more time in your cabin, getting them ready for bedtime.
