What can you tell my fiancee and me about weddings on cruise ships?

Most all cruise lines will let you get married on board their ship. You should advise the cruise line prior to sailing, so they can make the arrangements, and set up a (inside or out) location, in order to make your wedding day something you and your husband will never forget.

Only one word of caution...The captain can legally perform the ceremony on board his ship...but you need to have all the paper work required by your state of residency, or church, so he or she can sign off on the paperwork, and make it legal, after the ceremony onboard. The certificate the cruise line provides signed and witnessed by the captain and others is nice, but is it a legally bonding license of marriage? Please check it out!
